It was near the router and would cause the ADSL connection to drop and then reconnect at a much lower speed when powered on, the router/modem showing a large increase in line noise.
Took a long time to work out it was the PC, changing the NIC, ethernet cable, PSU & power cable didn't help, I never really got to the bottom of it, other than fixing the issue by not using that PC!
